I promised myself that I would update this food blog with my “daily eats” but we all know that I have failed miserably.   So let me rephrase that statement into:  I will try as much as I can to update this blog often.
Recently, I was one of the very first few people in Asia to try something that’s deliciously different!  “Are You Sweet or Savory?” was the teaser for the new line of products launched by Krispy Kreme. When I received an invite to this launch, I figured that it has something to do with new “sweet” products  ad products which are not sweet.

I was not mistaken. Krispy Kreme now offers Kruffins and Pull Aparts - the newest addition to their already almost-perfect donuts.  The Kruffins are American-style handmade muffin-with-a-hole filled with rich and delicious fruits, nuts or chocolate with varieties which include Double Chocolate, Apple Streusel, Blueberry and Classic Kruffin.  The Pull Aparts, on the other hand, are the North Carolina original hand-rolled balls of dough, pulled apart and laid to form a doughnut like sweet bread, filled with sweet or savory varities such as Cheese, Bacon & Cheese, Sausage & Cheese and Cinammon.

I was barely awake during the launch since I normally would still be in bed at that time, so my taste buds were still not in the mood to be busy.  And that was the reason why I have only tried the Cheese Pull Apart.  I actually liked it!  My only concern with the whole range of products is the way the paper wrap sticks too much to the food item.  One word to describe these new Krispy Kreme treats: Awesome!

Krispy Kreme Baked Creations (Kuffins and Pull Aparts) are now available in stores.
Krispy Kreme branches: Bonifacio High Street, Greenhills, Ayala Ave., Greenhills Shopping Center Drive-Thru, SM Mall of Asia, Trinoma Cinema Level, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia Drive-Thru, Robinsons Galleria, Gateway Mall, Glorietta 4, SM Cty Annex (North EDSA), Annex 2 SM Fairview, Eastwood, Marquee Mall Pampanga, SM San Lazaro and SM Manila (Soon to open).  You may also call 0917-8053000 and (02) 633-2313 or log-on to http://krispykreme.com.ph for more details.
