Breaking Records with Kraft Eden Cheese – Bayanihan Style
Kraft Eden Cheese is on a great mission: to craft 5,000 (yes, FIVE THOUSAND) dishes of cheese! On December 14, 2009, Kraft will gather cooking enthusiasts, culinary students, kusineros, chefs and foodies for one battle royale featuring CHEESE. Kraft Eden products and their versatility will be demonstrated via the various dishes to be prepared, from the savory to the sweet.

This quest is aimed at breaking the previous Guinness World Record of 4,668 dishes set by India.
The first time you hear 5,000 dishes, what initially comes to mind is that it is highly impossible and will never be achieved. Then again, we should never underestimate the power of the Filipinos to be creative, inventive and innovative when it comes to food.
I actually got a sample of a full-course meal – all dishes made with cheese! Here are some of the dishes that were served to us the Maynila Ballroom of The Manila Hotel:
Roasted Vegetables-Cheese Terine Tepenade, Curry Lettuce, Balsamic Drizzle
Eggplant Soup With Cheese Foam and Tomato Float
Pineapple-Cheese Sherbet with Lemon Grass
U.S. Beef Tenderloin Baked in Eden Cheese with Garlic-Infused Merlot Sauce and Grilled Risotto Cake with Cheddar and a Bouquet of Vegetables
Eden Cheese Cake with Chocolate Sauce
And Kraft Eden cheese will help make that happen – enhanced with creamy and nutritious buttermilk taste fortified with Lusog-Sigla nutrients. It is the choice for anyone who aspires to show of his/her flair, creativity and confidence in the kitchen. From simple snacks to sophisticated main courses, Kraft Eden cheese products can be relied upon to deliver great tasting meals by making simple recipes extra special.

December 14, 2009 is going to be one red-letter days as Filipinos, joined hand-in-hand bayanihan style, work with each other in landing the Philippines in the record books with the most number of cheese dishes.
In a country that loves a fiesta, with various culinary traditions for many regions and 7,107 islands, where almost any snack worth enjoying can be improved with the addition of cheese: ensaymada, puto, bibingka, pichi-pichi – coming up with 5,000 dishes should be a piece of, well, cheese!
